Vancouver Canucks Tickets

The Vancouver Canucks going into the 2011-12 season believed they should have been the team who was the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Everything had aligned for them perfectly with the team along with the fan base was looking towards making another deep Stanley Cup run. During their season opening game they paid tribute to the Canucks 40th season and honored the late Rick Rypien by wearing “37 RYP” on their helmets. The Canucks made some trades in the offseason to acquire some grit, something that was lacking against the Boston Bruins.

The Canucks spent most of the 2011-2012 season catching up with other Western Conference teams to make the playoffs, they would catch up with the St. Louis Blues to be top seed of the Western Conference, as well as catching up with the New York Rangers for the President’s Trophy. It took until the last game of the season (game 82) to clinch both the top seed in the Western Conference and the President’s Trophy. . It was the first time since the 1990-91 Chicago Blackhawks, that a team won both their conference and President's Trophy at the same time on the last day of the regular season. It was Vancouver's second consecutive President's Trophy.

The Vancouver Canucks faced the eighth seeded and eventual Stanley Cup Champions Los Angeles Kings in the opening round of the playoffs. Despite their incredible regular season record, Vancouver's inconsistent play cost them the first three games of the series. The Canucks would rally to force a fifth game, but they lost in Game 5 on home ice in overtime. The Canucks fans left Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia disappointed. The Canucks fans sellout every game and tickets are hard to come by no matter if the team plays at home or on the road.
