Kansas City Royals Baseball Tickets

The Kansas City Royals have not been a part of postseason play since winning the World Series in 1985, a 25-year stretch. 2010 brought more of the same, as the team finished with a losing record for the seventh straight season. Help is on the way, though, and Royals fans are excited about the future prospects of their favorite team for the first time in a decade.

All-Star pitcher Zach Greinke asked for, and received, a trade in the offseason, and while his departure hurts the Royals in the present, the prospects they received in return should help make Kansas City a contender in the AL Central in a few short years. Led by stick specialist Billy Butler, the team has promising talent in the lineup, including Kila Ka'aihue, Mike Aviles, Alex Gordon and Alcides Escobar.

Soria has made a name for himself as one of the best and most coveted closers in all of baseball. The young right-hander has been a huge bright spot for the Royals over the past few years. Head out to the park and see the big names of the Royals future in action. Make sure to find all your Kansas City Royals Tickets at BroadRippleTickets.com. The website offers a large variety of KC Royals Tickets in any part of Kauffman Stadium. Hurry and get the great deals while they last.

May 2011 - Kansas City Royals Update

The Kansas City Royals are a Major League Baseball team who participate in the American League Central division. Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the Royals have called Kauffman Stadium home since 1973. The sixth oldest ballpark in MLB, Kauffman Stadium features an impressive and beautiful waterfall in the outfield, and holds as many as 40,000 baseball fans. If you'd like to see Royals baseball up close and personal, you can purchase Kansas City Royals Tickets from BroadRippleTickets.com to ensure that you have a seat to action.

After a decade of losing and disappointment, the 2011 version of the Kansas City Royals has fans of the team very excited about the future of the team. Currently sitting in third place in the AL Central division, the Royals are far outplaying expectations. Already possessing fan favorite Billy Butler, the team added Jeff Francoeur and Melky Cabrera in the offseason, and the two have been positive contributors at the front-end of the batting lineup all year. They also called up uber-prospect Eric Hosmer a month into the season, and he's already become entrenched in the middle of the Kansas City lineup. The biggest surprise thus far has been the play of the highly touted Alex Gordon. Written off as a bust a few years into his career, Gordon is experiencing his best season as a professional, finally living up to his vast potential.

While the offense has been great, the pitching staff hasn't been nearly as good, and the Royals are long shots to make the playoffs because of it. But with a farm system stocked with elite prospects, and plenty of talent at the MLB level, the future is very bright for the Kansas City Royals, and fans of the team are responding by flocking to Kauffman Stadium to see the work in progress. If you want to join them, get your Kansas City Royals Tickets toady!

American League Central

The American League Central division is perennially the most wide-open division in all of Major League Baseball (MLB). With no dominant, big-market team, the Minnesota Twins have captured the AL Central title two straight years, but both the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers, each of whom have reached the World Series in the past 10 years, won 80-plus games, and will present serious challenges to the Twins in 2011.

Despite losing closer Joe Nathan in Spring Training and slugging first baseman Justin Morneau to a mid-season concussion, the Twins completed their first season in Target Field with 94 wins and 68 losses, though they fell to the New York Yankees in the first round of the playoffs for second straight season. With Nathan and Morneau back and healthy, they're undoubtedly the favorites heading into the 2011 season. The Chicago White Sox won't make it easy, though, as they added home run machine Adam Dunn, who figures to reach 40 homers in the bandbox that is U.S. Cellular Field. The Detroit Tigers, who call Comerica Park home, are led by the pitching trio of Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, and Rick Porcello. They needed an upgrade on an offense, and they found that in the form of Victor Martinez, who figures to provide support to one baseball's best hitters, Miguel Cabrera. The Tigers will be searching for their first AL Central division title since 1987.

Bringing up the rear are the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals. Neither team reached 70 wins in 2010, and though there's plenty of promising young talent on both rosters, it would be a stretch to predict either to contend for the AL Central crown in 2011. The Royals possess a strong offense, and a friendly home park in Kaufmann Stadium, while the Indians are hoping the healthy return of Grady Sizemore and Asdrubal Cabrera jump starts their moribund offense. Like with Royals, the pitching staff is a major work in progress, and they'll need to show immediate improvement if they hope to sell-out Progressive Field past the opening month of the season.

2011 American League

The 2011 Major League Baseball Season is underway, and as expected, the division races in the American League are proving to be incredibly tight and competitive. Generally regarded as the best division in MLB, the AL East is currently led by the New York Yankees, with the feisty Tampa Bay Rays in second. The biggest surprise is the Boston Red Sox, who got off to a 2-10 start, and are still fighting to get back to .500. Both the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles have been tougher than expected, proving that the AL East is indeed the best in baseball.

The AL Central is typically a wide-open division, and 2011 is no different. The Minnesota Twins have made the playoffs two consecutive years, but are in dead last this season, as the upstart Cleveland Indians find themselves in first place by nearly five games. Just as surprising have been the Kansas City Royals, who sit in second place in the division, while the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox remain in contention. Out west, the Los Angeles Angels have been powered by an elite pitching staff, and have surprised people by jumping into first place in the AL West division. Last year's American League pennant winner the Texas Rangers have been excellent again this season, and look like a true contender for a World Series title. Rounding out the division are the Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners, both teams who have been better than originally expected.

After dominating through the early part of the decade, the American League has fallen in the World Series to the National League in three of the past five seasons. Most pundits agree the result will be different in 2011, as the American League is chock-full of talented teams.

The Boston Red Sox made a big splash in free agency, adding two All-Star players to complement their already outstanding roster. With several key players returning from injury-plagued seasons in 2010, the Fenway Park faithful are as confident in their team as they've ever been. In a stunning move, the New York Yankees failed to add a high-priced piece to their squad over the winter, but there's enough talent on the roster, particularly on offense, to consider them one of the top three teams in the American League. And don't forget about the Tampa Bay Rays, last year's winner of the vaunted AL East. The Minnesota Twins are the cream of the crop in the AL Central division, and with a fully healthy roster, are again in position to contend for a World Series title. The 2010 American League representative in the World Series was the Texas Rangers, and after adding a pair of sluggers in the offseason, they're poised to again be the best offense in MLB, especially considering they play in the extremely hitter-friendly Rangers Ballpark at Arlington.

With such a wide-open race, the American League is sure to provide plenty of excitement and hard-fought Major League Baseball in 2011.

May 2011 - American League Update

The Major League Baseball 2011 Season is more than a quarter of the way finished, and the playoff picture is beginning to take shape. In the American League, as everyone expected, the AL East division has been a Murderers Row for all five participants. The New York Yankees currently sit atop the division, with the Boston Red Sox, who began the season 2-11, sitting but a half game back. You can bet Yankees vs. Red Sox Tickets are going to yet again be the toughest MLB Ticket to come by this season. The Tampa Bay Rays have suffered a myriad of injuries, but still find themselves in third place in the division, only a game and a half behind the two behemoths in New York and Boston. The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles, long considered afterthoughts in the AL East are each only 3.5 games out of the lead, and have been much improved in 2011.

Over in the AL West division, last year's AL pennant winners, the Texas Rangers, again are out in front of the pack. They've been great at home in The Ballpark at Arlington, but have struggled on the road, and have a record barely above .500. As a result, the Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners have been able to keep pace with the Rangers, while the Oakland Athletics are only three games out.

The biggest surprise of the 2011 MLB Season has been the Cleveland Indians, who possess baseball's best record at 30-17. They currently have a five-game lead in the AL Central division over the Detroit Tigers, with the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox both struggling to keep pace. The Minnesota Twins, long the team to beat in the AL Central division, have been beset by misfortune, and already find themselves 14.5 games out of first place.

AL Central June Update
The AL Central figures to be one of the closest division in all of Major League Baseball in 2011. The Cleveland Indians jumped out to a big lead over the first two months of the season, but their schedule was much tougher in June, and they've since relinquished the AL Central division lead to the Detroit Tigers. The Chicago White Sox sit a few games back, and once they get players like Adam Dunn, Gordon Beckham and Alex Rios on track, are sure to give the Indians and Tigers a run for the AL Central division title. The Minnesota Twins have suffered a plethora of injuries, but they had a double-digit win streak in June, and can never be counted totally counted out. The Kansas City Royals have an exciting young group of offensive players, but they are still a few years away from contending for a playoff spot.

AL Central July Update

The AL Central has one of the closest division races in all of Major League Baseball heading down the stretch. The Detroit Tigers have overtaken the Cleveland Indians, and currently hold a slight lead, while the Chicago White Sox are lingering a few games behind the Tribe. Not to be forgotten are the Minnesota Twins. The Twins had an awful start to the season, but have slowly climbed back into the AL Central race, and are poised to put pressure on the top three teams over the final two months. The Kansas City Royals, as they tend to do, are bringing up the rear in the division. Although, there is a different feeling around Kauffman Stadium this season, as many of the Royals prospects of the future have gotten their first taste of big league action in 2011, giving fans hope for the coming years. There’s no telling how the AL Central race will end up, but there’s no doubt it will come down to the very final weekend, like it almost always does.
