The team added sluggers like Mark Reynolds, Vladimir Guerreo, Derrick Lee, and J.J. Hardy in the offseason, giving them a very competitive lineup. The pitching staff is still very young and inexperienced, though, so anything out of a last place finish in the division has to be considered a successful season.

2011 American League

The 2011 Major League Baseball Season is underway, and as expected, the division races in the American League are proving to be incredibly tight and competitive.
