Tinley Park - First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre and Rosemont - Allstate Arena Events

Located just outside the City of Chicago, Rosemont is the home of Allstate Arena which is a popular indoor venue for everything from Taylor Swift Concerts to Monster Truck Racing. While technically Rosemont is not in Chicago, for purpose of event categorization it might as well be. Similar to Rosemont, Tinley Park is located outside of Chicago and is home of First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre (formerly Tweeter Center). Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza, or “Lolla” for short, brings together thousands of people each year for one of the most anticipated summer music festivals in the United States! Lollapalooza was founded by the lead singer of the band Jane’s Addiction, Perry Farrell, in 1991 but wasn’t formatted as a weekend festival until 2005. Since the switch from touring to being held in a single location at Grant Park in Chicago, IL, the festival has been going strong. The pitching rotation is headlined by Ryan Dempster, Carlos Zambrano and Matt Garza, and the bullpen is solid with Carlos Marmol and Kerry Wood set to close out games. For the White Sox, with a record of 88 wins and 74 losses, the Chicago White Sox finished the 2010 Major League Baseball season with the sixth best mark in the American League. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to beat out the Minnesota Twins for AL Central crown, keeping the White Sox out of the playoffs for the second straight season.

Although it may seem like the city of Chicago is split and everyone is either a "Cubs fan" or a "Sox fan", but they all come together when it comes to da Bears and da Bulls. Soldier Field is home of the Chicago Bears which also occasionally hosts concerts such as U2. The United Center is home to the Chicago Bulls as well as the Chicago Blackhawks and it holds many concerts throughout the year such as Lil Wayne, Rush, Taylor Swift, Rod Stewart, and many other events.
