The Target Center in Minneapolis hosts dozens of indoor events each year, while Target Field in Minny's newest venue and is used by the Twins. If college sports are more of your thing then the Minnesota Golden Gophers might be your speed as the resurgent Gophers Basketball team is suddenly turning heads again.

Minneapolis Events

You can see tons of concerts and events around Minneapolis. The State Theatre holds many great concerts and comedic events like David Gray, Shinedown, Martin Lawrence, Jeff Beck, Jackson Browne, Cake, Lewis Black, and many more. First Avenue is another good concert venue where you might see Bright Eyes, Deftones, Yellowcard, Death Cab for Cutie, or Panic! at the Disco. The Target Center is a larger venue to see events, but if theater is your preference, the Orpheum Theatre is a great place to see Jersey Boys, West Side Story, Madagascar Live!, or Lion King, as well as other events and concerts.

Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings

Twins - For the second consecutive season the Minnesota Twins (MLB) won the AL Central and earned a spot in the playoffs. And for the second straight year, they were swept in the American League Divisional Series by the New York Yankees. With a winning record in nine of their past 10 seasons, expectations are still high in Minnesota for 2011, despite their recent struggles in the playoffs. Saint Paul Events

St. Paul is very closely located to Minneapolis which is already busy with concerts, sports, theater, and events, but luckily St. Paul has its own schedule with great choices of events to attend. You can check out the Xcel Energy Center for concerts like Bob Seger, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Katy Perry, or other events like Jeff Foxworthy. The Minnesota State Fair also holds concerts like Big Time Rush, Jason Aldean, Rush, Kiss, or Def Leppard. You can also see some great theater events at the Ordway Center for Performing Arts like 9 to 5 the musical, Stomp, or Next to Normal. There is always something to do in Saint Paul.

Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Timberwolves

Wild - You can check out the Minnesota Wild (NHL) at their home arena at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul. Timberwolves - Or you can head over to Minneapolis to the Target Center to see some home games for the Timberwolves (NBA). But if college basketball is more your choice, you can always count on the Minnesota Golden Gophers to make the game more interesting.

Target Center

The Target Center is located in downtown Minneapolis, and is home to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The venue has a capacity of of over 20,000 and hosts basketball, ice hockey, wrestling, and large concerts and events. You can see events like Usher, Keith Urban, Chelsea Handler, Cirque du Soleil, Josh Groban, UFC events, and much more. Don't miss out!
