The state of Florida has several events and cities of note. The year round warm weather provides an really long season for outdoor live events. West Palm Beach and Cruzan Amphitheater get major concert acts on a regular basis. Miami hosts the Dolphins and Heat, while Jacksonville brings local NFL competition with the Jaguars. Each year thousands of people flock to Florida to watch Grapefruit League games as about half of the MLB host Spring Training in Florida.

Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars play their home games at EverBank Field, located in Jacksonville, Florida. The team is a yearly contender for the AFC South division title. The Miami Dolphins callSun Life Stadium (formerly Dolphin Stadium) home, which is also the home venue of the Florida Marlins (MLB). The Dolphins play in the AFC East division, and are expected to contend for a playoff spot in 2011.

Florida Marlins, Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic

Marlins - In their 18-year existence, the Florida Marlins have only made the playoffs twice, both times winning the World Series. 2010 was not one of those years, as the team finished third place in the NL East division with 80 wins and 82 losses. With a slew of young emerging players, 2011 has been entertaining for fans, though the win total hasn't been as hefty.

Rays - Though they lost several popular players in Carl Crawford, Carlos Pena and Rafael Soriano during the offseason, the team returned MVP candidate Evan Longoria, along with standout players like B.J. Upton, David Price, and Ben Zobrist. The pitching staff is strong, with youngsters like Jeremy Hellickson and Wade Davis have bolstering an already good group.

Heat - The city of Miami, Florida is home to perhaps the NBA's most popular team, the Miami Heat. Featuring LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh, the Miami Heat fell short of their goal of winning a championship in 2011, although they sell out American Airlines Arena for every Heat home game.

Magic - Aside from Disney World, there's plenty to do in Orlando. The Orlando Magic are one of the NBA's best teams. Their home, Amway Arena, is the newest in pro basketball, and also hosts numerous Concert Events as well.

Daytona International Speedway and Homestead Miami Speedway

Every year, Daytona Beach is flooded with travelers for different NASCAR Races like the NASCAR Nationwide Series: Jalapeno 250 and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: Coke Zero 400. You can't forget about the very popular Daytona 500 in late February. If you are closer to Miami, you can check out the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: Ford 400 in November.

The Ziff Opera House Knight Concert Hall, both at the Adrienne Arsht Center, are great Venues, while the Lincoln Theatre has Comedy Shows and Concerts. The Miami Dade County Auditorium also routinely hosts well-known artists. The American Airlines Arena has a capacity of over 19,000 and is home to the Miami Heat. It also hosts many great concerts and events such as Lady Gaga, Disney On Ice, Justin Bieber, WWE, Phish, Cirque du Soleil, Eric Clapton, and many more.

The 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre At The Florida State Fairgrounds (formerly the Ford Amphitheatre) is located in Tampa, FL. The venue is an outdoor amphitheater seating up to 20,000. Here, you can see some of your favorite artists like Jimmy Buffett, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Rush, Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band, and more.

Cruzan Amphitheatre

Cruzan Amphitheatre, formerly known as Sound Advice Amphitheatre, is located in West Palm Beach, and holds some of the best concerts in the area. The venue can hold 19,000 people in its outdoor amphitheatre. Great artists and music festivals have passed through here like Kings of Leon, Jimmy Buffett, John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Vans Warped Tour, Lilith Fair, Toby Keith, Jack Johnson, Coldplay, Nickelback, and much much more.
