Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are both privileged with the gift of spectator entertainment. Philadelphia is the home of the Eagles, Sixers, Pirates and Flyers, the Wells Fargo Center also draws huge crowds for major concert acts. Not to far away the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins have made a name for themselves as well. Pittsburgh is a regular stop for WWE Monday Night Raw while back in Philly the Electric Factory host rising and mid-major acts regularly as well.

Philadelphia Events

The Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL, the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball, the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA, and the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers all call the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania home. All four professional Sports franchises are located in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex section of downtown. The Venues -- Lincoln Financial Field, Citizen's Bank Park, and the Wells Fargo Center -- are all state-of-art Venues where Tickets are coveted. In addition, the Palestra is home to five College Basketball teams -- Temple, St Joe's, Penn, Villanova, and La Salle. If Concerts and Theater Shows are more your thing, Philadelphia has plenty of options and Venues to choose from. The Walnut Street Theatre is a great Theater Venue to see a play or Musical, while the Academy Of Music stages Ballets and Symphony performances.

Wells Fargo Center

The Wells Fargo Center, formerly known as Wachovia Center, is located in Philadelphia and is home of the Flyers and the 76ers. It can hold over 20,000 for basketball games and 12,000 to 17,500 for concerts. Many artists and events come through here like Elton John, Rod Steward, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Bon Jovi, Justin Bieber, Roger Waters, and Dave Matthews Band.

Pittsburgh Events

Pittsburgh is home to three major professional Sports franchises. The Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball play their home games at beautiful PNC Park, while the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins call the CONSOL Energy Center home. The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most storied franchises in the NFL, with the perennial Super Bowl contenders routinely selling out Heinz Field. On the collegiate level, the University of Pittsburgh is a member of the Big East conference, and sport top-notch College Basketball and College Football teams. If Concerts and Theater Shows are more your thing, Pittsburgh has plenty of options and Venues to choose from. Altar bar, Smiling Moose, and The Club at Stage AE are some of the more popular Concert Venues in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, while Cabaret at Theater Square and Benedum Center are great places to catch a Theater Show.

First Niagara Pavilion

The First Niagara Pavilion, formerly known as Post Gazette Pavilion at Star Lake, is located in Burgettstown. It is an outdoor amphitheatre with a capacity of 23,000, and 17,000 of those seats in the general admission lawn. You can check out some of your favorite artists and festivals such as Kings of Leon, Toby Keith, Jimmy Buffett, Nickelback, Warped Tour, Lilith Fair, John Mayer, and many more.

Electric Factory

The Electric Factory is a smaller venue located in Philadelphia, with a capacity of up to 3,000. You can find some great musicians performing year round including Queens of the Stone Age, Brand New, Arctic Monkeys, Coheed and Cambria, Cage the Elephant, Girl Talk, Umphrey's McGee, Mumford & Sons, and many others.
