Held at the conclusion of Big Ten Conference play, the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament is a single-elimination tourney that pits the Ohio State Buckeyes, Indiana Hoosiers, Purdue Boilermakers, Northwestern Wildcats, Wisconsin Badgers, Penn State Nittany Lions, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Michigan Wolverines, Illinois Fightin' Illini, Michigan State Spartans, and Iowa Hawkeyes against each other for a chance to secure an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
The 2011 Big 10 Men's Basketball Tournament will tip off on Thursday, March 10, and conclude on Sunday, March 13. Indianapolis, Indiana will again play host to the event, marking the fourth year in a row the tournament will be played at Conseco Fieldhouse.
