The 10th Annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is officially scheduled for 2011! Keeping up with tradition, the festival will be held at the Great Stage Park in Manchester, TN! The Park’s 700-acres of farmland make the location perfect for the thousands of fans who camp out to enjoy the 4-day event.
The term Bonnaroo, is New Orleans slang for “a really good time” and was chosen as the name of the festival due to the influence of Louisiana music on Bonnaroo’s founders. It was this rich tradition of music, as well as a desire to bring together many styles of quality music, that inspired the festival’s commencement in 2002.
Although Bonnaroo’s primary attraction is its live music stages, ticketholders have the opportunity to participate in yoga classes, see comedians, watch movies in an air conditioned theatre, get complimentary hair washing from the people of Garnier Fructis, and party at Bonnaroo’s famed, silent disco. On top of that, you can partake in any number of arts, theatre, music, and dance workshops offered over the course of the festival.
People hop on trains, buses, and planes to get to Bonnaroo and camp out in a sea of people having the time of their life, so don’t miss your chance!
